The Sammamish Community YMCA runs the aquatics programs at the city-owned community and aquatic center on 228th Avenue SE, a 69,000 square foot facility with a six-lane lap pool, a warmer activity pool with a two-story waterslide, and a whirlpool. Group swim lessons run in progressive levels for kids from parent-and-child classes up through stroke development, alongside private lessons, a youth swim team and open recreational swim. Financial assistance is available, and lesson sessions are registration based for members and non-members.

Families call it a clean, well-equipped, genuinely family-friendly facility and single out the aquatic center, the indoor track and the recently renovated fitness floor.
