About this program
Independent member-owned neighborhood swim club in Redmond's Strattonwood neighborhood, open Memorial Day through Labor Day with weekend hours the rest of the year. Its summer swim lessons are taught by the club's own trained lifeguard instructors in small groups that meet daily over two-week sessions, a format parents credit with fast progress, and lesson registration is open to non-members as well as owners. The club also fields the Strattonwood Tsunamis summer swim team and runs open swim and lap swim, with a clubhouse offering ping pong, foosball and air hockey for waiting siblings.
Families repeatedly single out the swim lessons: reasonably priced, small classes, patient and knowledgeable instructors, and a five-days-a-week two-week format that several parents say advanced their kids faster than the twice-weekly schedule at other schools. The pool is old: members and visitors on both Google and Yelp describe the facility as dated and in need of updating, with one calling it run down and looking dirty poolside even though the water itself is fine. Parking in the lot is tight at busy times, and lesson sessions are summer-only and fill early enough that families are told to register well in advance.
