Crossroads Community Center is a City of Bellevue Parks & Community Services centre that runs its own youth programming alongside its drop-in gym and games rooms. Free Youth Makerspace (ages 6-12) meets Wednesday afternoons and a free Teen Makerspace (ages 13-17) covers painting, sketching, digital art on iPad, fibre arts and Cricut crafts. Paid Coding with Kids sessions for ages 8-12 rotate through Python, Minecraft modding and robotics coding. The Parkside Pre-K kindergarten-readiness classroom serves 4- and 5-year-olds on a month-to-month basis during the school year, with weekly camps in summer. Classes run in seasonal quarterly sessions rather than continuously, and registration is per session.
Reviewers consistently describe warm, helpful front-desk staff, a clean and lively building with several activity rooms in use at once, and fees that are noticeably cheaper than comparable centres in the Seattle area. Its position next to Crossroads Mall makes it easy to combine with food and errands.
Google reviews cover adult drop-in pickleball, pool and ping pong, room rentals and polling-place use rather than the children's classes, so they say nothing about instruction quality. Several note the centre gets crowded at peak times.
