The Redmond Community Center at Marymoor Village is the City of Redmond's 20,000-square-foot recreation building beside the east entrance of Marymoor Park, a short walk from the Marymoor Village light rail station. Its Teen Lounge is a free, staffed drop-in space for middle and high school students (ages 13-18) with a different focus each weekday: DIY Den craft sessions, Study Squad with snacks and Wi-Fi, Soundcheck music listening and playing, Wildcard games and trivia, and Boss Mode board, card, video and tabletop RPG nights including drop-in Dungeons & Dragons. Youth Eastside Services counsellors are on site Mondays and Tuesdays, and the Redmond Youth Partnership Advisory Committee meets here twice a month. The centre also hosts summer camps and seasonal classes for other ages, published each winter, summer and fall season. A free Teen Lounge drop-in pass is issued on the first visit.
Reviewers describe friendly, accommodating reception staff at a bright new building with plenty of free parking, a cafe, many hireable classrooms and community activities for both adults and children; one family ran a 20-plus-child birthday party here and rated it highly.
Reviews cover the fitness studio, rentals and parties rather than the Teen Lounge or youth classes. The gym is small with limited equipment, no showers and no locker room, and one reviewer found dance classes on the second floor loud enough to disturb an event below.
