Ages 5–8About this program
Home art studio in Sammamish run by artist and tutor Sinthuri, teaching weekly painting and drawing classes for ages 5 to 8 — preschoolers and kindergartners through the early elementary grades. Classes are grouped by the students' level of experience and run as sessions of five to ten weekly classes, covering the fundamentals of drawing, how to see and draw objects, and building images from basic shapes, using watercolors, acrylics and pastels. All materials are provided, students take home every finished project, and classes run with a minimum of two students.
Parents describe Sinthuri as kind and patient, encouraging every child while still teaching real drawing and colour-mixing technique, and several report a clear boost in their child's confidence. The studio is small and cosy; families say both the very small classes and the later mixed-age groups worked well, and children look forward to the weekly session and bring home finished work each time.
